Privacy policy

1. Controller

Emergyne, emergyne@gmail.com. We apply the data protection rules that bind us in each user's country, including the European GDPR for people subject to it.

2. Data we process

• Account: name, email address, password (encrypted, never readable), or your Google identity if you sign in with Google; language and preferences.
• Learning: contents followed, progress, quiz answers, weekly goal, certificates.
• Purchases: orders, amounts, receipts, payment status sent by SasPay (never your card numbers).
• Exchanges: messages with trainers or Emergyne, reviews, answers to the welcome questionnaire.
• Trainers: public profile, contents, identity (document and selfie) for verification, payout method (Mobile Money number), revenue and payouts.
• Notifications: your device's technical address if you turn notifications on.
• Audience measurement: pages viewed, where the visit came from (link, campaign), country; the IP address is kept only as an encrypted fingerprint.

3. Why

• Providing the service: account, access to purchased contents, progress, certificates, messages (performance of the contract).
• Taking payments, paying trainers their revenue, keeping the accounts (contract and legal obligations).
• Verifying trainers' identity before any payout and preventing fraud (legal obligation and legitimate interest).
• Sending notifications and reminder emails (consent for notifications; you can turn them off in your profile).
• Measuring audience and improving the platform, without advertising trackers (legitimate interest).

4. Recipients

Your data is available to the Emergyne team members who need it, and to the trainer whose contents you follow for what concerns them (name, progress, messages, reviews). Our providers process it on our behalf:

• Hostinger: server hosting the database and the app;
• Cloudflare: delivery network and file storage (videos, documents, images);
• SasPay: payments and payouts;
• Google: sign-in with Google if you choose it, sending emails;
• Google, Apple or Mozilla: delivering notifications to your device.

These servers may be in a country other than yours; we choose providers offering suitable security and confidentiality safeguards.

5. Retention

• Account and learning: while the account exists, then deleted within 30 days of its closure.
• Certificates: kept so they remain verifiable, unless you ask otherwise.
• Receipts and payment data: the period required by accounting law.
• Trainers' identity photos: deleted 30 days after the decision.
• Audience measurement: 25 months at most.

6. Security

Encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted passwords, data access limited by database rules, two-factor authentication required for administration, private files served through temporary links.

7. Cookies and local storage

We only use necessary cookies (sign-in session, language, display) and your browser's storage for your preferences (theme, text size) and our own audience measurement. No advertising cookies or third-party trackers.

8. Your rights

You may access, correct or delete your data, object to a processing or ask for a copy, by writing to emergyne@gmail.com. We answer within 30 days.

You may also refer to the data protection authority of your country.

9. Minors

The platform is open from the age of 12. Under 18, it is used with a parent's consent, and the parent may exercise the rights in section 8 for their child. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 12 and delete any we are told about.

10. Changes

This policy may change; the date of the version in force is shown at the top of the page. A significant change is announced to you.
